Paper Play DT - Stamp it Out

Hi Blogging Beauties,

It has been a very long and hot day today and I am finally getting around to posting my DT card tonight for Paper Play.

This week's challenge is "Stamp It Out" - we want you to use your stamps.
Create a card/project using a stamp - rubba', digi etc. the choice is yours.

We are very kindly sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.  The winner will receive a $15 store voucher.

What an easy challenge for you hey!

I used digital, rubber and clear stamps for this card.
Digital: Kenny K "All That" girl, border collie (Google images) and Meljen's Friends Sentiment
Rubber: CC Designs fence
Clear: Sun and cloud in the background.

I coloured the background on some new paper from Mad for Markers called 352gsm Neenah Card Stock.  I really loved the paper...the Copics blended so beautifully on it.  It is nice and thick too...so it was perfect for a large scene on a card.

Lots of Copics used for this card:

Browns - E47, E37, E35, E31 (my fave brown colour combo)
Oranges - YR16, YR07, YR02
Yellows - Y08, Y06, Y11
Greens - G14, YG06, YG23
Blues - B05, BG05, B12, B00, BG10
Greys - C-1, C-3, C-5
Skin - E21, E00, R20

I designed this card with the Kenny K "My Favourite Things" challenge in mind.
I was thinking and thinking about how I could put my favourite things on a card.  Of course card-making is definitely one of my favourite things, but I thought that would be a bit of a cop-out, just to make a card!  So one of my other favourite things to do is to take our dog Ellie for a walk.  This summer I have been going every evening about 6:30 or 7pm when it is finally starting to cool down.  I love it, and so does Ellie! Ben comes as well, but sometimes he runs instead.  So I have created a scene of me and Ellie going for a walk.  I dont look as gorgeous as this Kenny K girl...and I certainly dont wear clothes as trendy as her! On average two cars would pass me on this walk so I dont worry too much about what I look like lol!  Its just us and the cows, sheep or deer in the paddocks next to the road.  If we have had rain, at the end of the road there is a hole that fills up with water like a mini-dam and that becomes Ellie's swimming pool and she has a swim to cool off before we head for home.  But that is nearly all dried up now as we havent had rain for several weeks and things are getting really dry here.  We do have an old bath tub that is used as a stock drinking trough that she hops in when we get home...she loves water!

Well, you are probably sick of me raveling on and on about Ellie...can you tell she is one of my best friends!  Here is a LO I did awhile ago of the two of us (I have blogged this before)
...thanks for reading and have a good night.

P.S I am so grateful that Cyclone Yasi has not killed or injured any Aussies so far.  What an enormous relief.  I also feel so lucky to live in a country that is so supportive of people in need and those that have been affected by natural disasters.  My thanks go to Anna Bligh QLD Premier and all her team who have managed this cyclone with such efficiency.
Thank you to the angels for protecting everyone and keeping them safe.

Thanks Heavens the Cyclone did not do the damage it could have, such frightening weather. We seen to have come through the blizzard in one (frozen) piece. Mother Natures can sure get scary!
Love the card. Yes, you are just as cute as she is! And the dog looks just like Ellie. Hugs...

It reminds me of how much I miss my dog (lives with my parents) and how much I enjoy seeing her again when I visit.

How clever you are to make a nice scene card like this! I am a dog lover too and our babies are very spoilt!

Your colouring is so good - I am yet to learn how to shade nicely! Can't wait until the Sydney Copics Conference!
